Abandonment No More!

Dear readers,

I hope you have missed my blog posts over the last few weeks (but not too much, lol).

I feel extremely guilty because I had epic plans for July and was unable to stick to these.  I know I don't really need to explain myself as such, however I do feel I owe it to my readership, especially those who read two parts of my story - Sordid Secret.

Firstly, I had internet issues and my connection kept dipping on and off constantly and nobody could put their finger on the issue - including my internet provider.  This made work and my University assignments extremely difficult and to be honest, I was at my wits end with it all!

Secondly, I touched on it is my first point but I had two MA assignments to do.  I had to spend my time researching, and I took a week off work to spend in the University library that was not very productive: firstly the library was noisier than my home (and that's saying something) and then I now have no car and the university is 20 miles away which meant train and walking, with my lap top and 15 books took time and effort.  After my first day in the library, I was struck down with flu and spent the rest of my week on leave from work, ill in bed.  I felt so lucky!

Thirdly, as I work as a Tutor/Assessor, July is the college year end and this was the busiest month as we try to get as many learners completed as possible and this means marking that the marking turn-around has to be swift and to be honest, I have had to work long hours to make myself available to learners as much as possible.

I think sometimes, I have a habit of taking on too much and it's funny because I actually a business and administration unit about not making promises you can't keep and being organised and usually, I am organised but I totally fell off the wagon this week because I feel that by putting up a schedule of posts, I committed myself to things that just weren't possible for July  #feelingnaughty

The good news is, well at least I hope you think it's good news as I will be catching be up, and hopefully this will be by the end of the week.  I still have some work to do as some learners have been offered extensions but on the whole, I am confident to be able to put a new workable schedule in place by the end of the week.

More good news!  I am off on holiday to Centreparcs on the 24th August - just for five days and I can't wait!
